The War of Threads

Alright, I give up! I told MeegieMoo that I wouldn't, but I have no choice...those ridiculous 4needle gloves have gotten the best of me!!! Its the pattern I'm sure but, its got me beat. Once I got to the individual fingers-I got confused. Here's the pattern I'm cursing using. Its at the first finger I get lost. I've decided to set it aside and to tackle it later. Now I'm working on my shawl in the lovely red/wine yarn I bought last week, and I've started another cotton skull cap, this time using a larger hook. These hats are great for holding head scarves in place, as well as a fashionable way to hide a really bad hair day! The batteries in my camera are dead or I'd take pic's of my half done gloves, the shawl and the new cap.

There are several other knitting blogs I read on a regular basis (Anny Purls, Once More, with Knitting, Grumperina, ect-see the left panel to get links) and Anny has just knit the cutest little hat for her son, Julian and also made one for her soon-to-be-born son. I've fallen completely in love with this hat (as I do with most things she makes) and followed the link she provided for the hat. Turns out, it was originally designed for a Breast Cancer special knits project put out by Knitty.com (Click on breast cancer link to be taken to the pattern). Once I get what I'm currently working on done, I think I may actually give the Shedir a shot. Hopefully I'll have better luck with that than I've had with the gloves.

Yay, a snowstorm for Friday-just what we need!
As Per Environment Canada @ 8pm:
"Snow at times heavy changing to ice pellets overnight then to periods of rain. Risk of freezing rain overnight. Snow and ice pellet amount 20 cm. Rainfall amount 2 mm. Blowing snow late in the evening and overnight. Wind southeast 30 km/h increasing to 50 gusting to 70 late in the evening. Low minus 4 with temperature rising to plus 3 by morning."

Well, guess I'll just have to stay home and knit *sigh*
